the random dot panels are to be understood as a visual platform onto which the visitors can impose their own subjective shape-making decisions. three silk-covered aluminum frames hung on the walls of an exhibition room. each visitor who entered the exhibition received a small round black adhesive sticker along with his admission ticket. this way, visitors were invited to create their own patterns on the canvas. during the exhibition 10,000 black dots collected on the silk surface formed a pattern that was the result of a collective decision.
